What are the benefits, if any, of extra Maths classes? Do extra Maths classes enhance the learner’s understanding AND marks? If not, why not?
: Research task
The research must be about education or the school or the learners.
Students should select two kinds
of tests (Chi-squared test and Z-test OR T-test) to interparate data. Then select a topic for the Research Task that will incorporate these tests. Data must be discussed
extensively with appropriate graphs and diagrams. In this case you will
act both as the researcher and the statistician and both roles must be apparent
in the research feedback.

Pick any of the following possible topics for research paper:

1. What are
the benefits, if any, of extra Maths classes? Do
extra Maths classes enhance the learner’s
understanding AND marks? If not, why not?
2. Why do
students fail when they never ask for help from the lecturer?
3. How does
online marking affect students’ understanding if there is no direct – in the
answer sheet – feedback?
4. Are Grade 9
Mathematics marks a predictor of Grade 12 Mathematics marks?
5. What would
equip a teacher to teach inclusively?
What is
inclusive? White Paper #6. Are teachers aware of these skills? Do they use them?
Do they have positive results
doing so? (This can be more than one topic.)
6. Which
learning style suits learning Statistics/Mathematics best? What is so ‘different’
about these subjects? How can
you conquer these subjects?
7. What are
the problems students have with online teaching? How could this be overcome?
8. How prevalent
is copying and dishonesty in online tests and assignments?
How is it accomplished? How does
it affect other students that are not copying?
9. Is it
possible to apply a different learning style to different subjects? Which learning style will suit which subject best?
10. How
prevalent is teacher bullying by students? How do teachers cope with being
bullied by their students?
11. Do teachers
teach the learning style of their subject? Do they achieve better understanding
and marks from their students?

Make sure that research paper ha the following sections(Structure
of your Research Paper):

1. Title page (1) and Introduction (14)

2. Literature Review (12)

3. Data
collection (18)

4. Outlining
the paper (15)

5. Research
Report (30)

6. Conclusion
(8) and Bibliography (2)

(Next to heading is mark allocation for that section)

{NB: REGARDING DATA COLLECTION – Please make up your own, realistic/believeable, data set and present as if it has been officially collected}

This is the just of it but more specifics are available in attached documents.

NOTE THAT: the aim of this paper is not the research being done, but rather the methods, interpretation, statistical tests and how its presentation that I will be assedsed on for thi assignment.
