You can upload your paper here beginning MAY 15; this assignment is due by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday MAY 24. You must submit your assignment online in Canvas via Turnitin.
You are required to cite at least two scholarly journals and adhere to the APA writing style format. The essays must be a minimum of 2 pages and a maximum of 3 pages in length, single-spaced, with a word-count minimum of 1,500 and a maximum of 2,500, and typed in 12 pt. Times New Roman font.
The paper will be submitted using Turnitin, a software program that checks the originality of an assignment. Be sure to properly cite the sources you use in completing your assignment.
Regardless of which topic you choose, your paper should include the following key areas:
PROBLEM STATEMENT, ISSUE, OR QUESTION – Clearly present the problem or issue in the form of one or two statements and/or questions.
INTRODUCTION – Start with a statement of the problem. Discuss how significant the problem is that you are addressing and give some background or history if appropriate or relevant. Provide a brief review of what you found in the literature you found during your research.
ANALYSIS – Include an analysis of the causes or factors which contribute to the problem. You should be able to find this information in journal articles, papers, or books that you review and include both sides of the issue.
OPINION – Identify and evaluate potential solution(s) to the problem. Indicate which solution you consider most viable and why.
CONCLUSION – Indicate why you think this is an important topic for other students who are studying juvenile justice should know about this issue.
